re-LABS

Im Programmpunkt „re-LABS“ der re-VISION: Circular Cities Conference 2026 werden konkrete Herausforderungen der zirkulären Stadt bearbeitet – auf Basis realer Erfahrungen aus der Praxis. Dafür suchen wir Fragestellungen und Antworten, die mit konkreten Cases verknüpft sind.

Zur Info: Die Teilnehmendenzahl bei der Konferenz ist begrenzt und alle Personen, die einen Beitrag für die re-LABS einreichen, erhalten garantiert einen Platz.

Was suchen wir?

Einreichungen sollten immer beides enthalten:

1. Eine zentrale Fragestellung
   z.B. „Wie schaffen wir es, unser bestehendes Re-Use-Angebot aus dem Pilotstatus in die Fläche zu bringen?“
2. Einen bestehenden Case
   ein Projekt, Programm, Pilot, Geschäftsmodell oder Ansatz, der bereits erprobt wird (lokal, national oder international).

Im Fokus stehen Herausforderungen rund um Circular Economy und zirkuläre Städte. Dazu geben wir gerne diese Inspiration und Fragestellungen mit - vielleicht passt Eure Fragestellung / Euer Case dazu? Ansonsten sind wir auch sehr offen für weitere Themenfelder, die wir dann entsprechend clustern werden:

• re-SPACE: Räume & Flächen als Infrastruktur der Kreislaufwirtschaft
  Kernfrage: Wie werden Innenstadträume zur dauerhaften Infrastruktur der Kreislaufwirtschaft?
• re-PARTICIPATE: Beteiligung, Bildung & Erzählungen der Transformation
  Kernfrage: Wie wird die Stadtgesellschaft zur aktiven Mitgestalterin der Circular City?
• re-IMPACT: Daten, digitale Zwillinge & Wirkung
  Kernfrage: Wie nutzen wir Daten und digitale Zwillinge, um Circular Cities zu steuern und Wirkung sichtbar zu machen?
• re-LOOPS shortlived: Zirkuläre Wertschöpfung bei Ernährung & Verpackung
  Kernfrage: Wie gestalten wir zirkuläre Wertschöpfungsketten für kurzlebige Konsumgüter (Ernährung und Verpackungen) in der Stadt?
• re-LOOPS durable: Reparatur, Re-Use & Design für langlebige Produkte (Elektronik, Möbel, Textilien)
  Kernfrage: Wie bringen wir langlebige Konsumgüter (Elektronik, Möbel und Textilien) in funktionierende Kreisläufe mit sozialem Mehrwert?
• re-SOCIAL: soziale Dimension: Einsamkeit, Wissenstransfer, Arbeit & Qualifizierung
  Kernfrage: Wie nutzen wir die Circular City, um soziale Teilhabe, Qualifizierung und Zusammenhalt zu stärken?

Wer kann einreichen?

Alle, die bereits an zirkulären Lösungen arbeiten:

• Politik, Verwaltung, Kommunen
• Unternehmen, Wirtschaft, Start-ups
• Verbände, Stiftungen
• Forschung, Wissenschaft, Bildung
• Zivilgesellschaft, Initiativen, Vereine, NGOs

Was passiert mit Eurem Case?

Wir wählen Cases aus, clustern diese und in den re-LABS ...

• stellt Ihr kurz Eure Fragestellung und Euren Case vor
• arbeiten wir gemeinsam mit anderen Stakeholdern an der Weiterentwicklung (z.B. Skalierung, Übertragbarkeit, neue Partnerschaften)
• werden die wichtigsten Ergebnisse im Programmpunkt re-PORT im Plenum vorgestellt

Und die Ergebnisse der re-LABS werden nach der Konferenz veröffentlicht und einem breiteren Publikum zugänglich gemacht.

1. Eure Fragestellung (1–2 Sätze, als Frage formuliert)
2. Kurzbeschreibung des Cases (max. ca. 5–8 Zeilen): Worum geht es konkret? Wo läuft der Case (Stadt/Region, Organisation)? Welche Lösung wurde bereits umgesetzt?
3. Eure zentrale Herausforderung: Was soll im re-LAB weiterbearbeitet werden (z.B. Skalierung, Governance, Finanzierung, Beteiligung, Übertragbarkeit)?
4. Eure Rolle/Perspektive (z.B. Bezirksverwaltung, Start-up, NGO, Hochschule …)
5. Kontaktdaten (Name, Organisation, Stadt/Land, E-Mail, ggf. Website)

Einreichungen können auf Deutsch oder Englisch erfolgen.

Wir freuen uns darauf, von Euch zu hören, und werden uns im September bei allen zurückmelden.

Die Teilnahme an der Konferenz ist kostenfrei; Reisekosten können wir leider nicht übernehmen.

In the program item "re-LAB" of the re-VISION: Circular Cities Conference 2026, concrete challenges of the circular city will be addressed – based on real experiences from practice. For this, we are looking for questions and answers that are linked to a specific case.

For your information: The number of participants at the conference is limited, and everyone who submits a contribution for the re-LABS is guaranteed a spot.

What are we looking for?

Submissions should always contain both:

1. A central question 
   for example, "How can we take our existing re-use offering from a pilot status to wider implementation?"
2. An existing case 
   A project, program, pilot, business model, or approach that is already being tested (locally, nationally, or internationally).

The focus is on challenges around the circular economy and circular cities. We’re happy to provide this inspiration and these questions – maybe your question/case fits? Otherwise, we are also very open to other topic areas, which we will then cluster accordingly:

• re-SPACE: Spaces & areas as infrastructure for the circular economy
  Core question: How do downtown spaces become permanent infrastructure for the circular economy?
• re-PARTICIPATE: Participation, education & stories of transformation
  Core question: How does urban society become an active co-creator of the Circular City?
• re-IMPACT: Data, digital twins & impact
  Core question: How do we use data and digital twins to manage Circular Cities and make impact visible?
• re-LOOPS shortlived: Circular value creation in food & packaging
  Core question: How do we design circular value chains for short-lived consumer goods (food and packaging) in the city?
• re-LOOPS durable: Repair, Re-Use & Design for long-lasting products (electronics, furniture, textiles)
  Core question: How do we bring long-lasting consumer goods (electronics, furniture, and textiles) into functioning cycles with social value?
• re-SOCIAL: social dimension: loneliness, knowledge transfer, work & qualification
  Core question: How can we use the Circular City to strengthen social participation, qualification, and cohesion? 

Who can submit?

Anyone who is already working on circular solutions:

• Politics, Administration, Municipalities
• Companies, Economy, Start-ups, Associations, Foundations
• Research, Science, Education
• Civil Society, Initiatives, Clubs, NGOs

What happens with your case?

We select cases, cluster them, and in the re-LABS ...

• briefly present your question and your case
• work together with other stakeholders on further development (e.g., scaling, transferability, new partnerships)

• the key results are presented in the plenary under the program item  re-PORT

   

And the results of the re-LABS will be published after the conference and made accessible to a broader audience.
